2/10 Trout Capital of the World

‘Welcome to Geneva - Trout Capital of the World’

That my friends was a real sign…I’m not making it up…I swear, if you ever drive into Geneva, NY (not to be confused with Geneva, Switzerland but coincidentally on a lake too) you will see the ‘Welcome to Geneva’ sign which then boasts that the town is the Trout Capital of The World.

Two things come to mind here:

1) Would you really boast that claim, even if it were true? Surely there is something else you can say about your town that is slightly more endearing…then again, if I were a fisherman, I’d probably found my pot of gold when I discovered that sign..so maybe the jokes on me

2) Secondly, can anyone actually prove this statement to be true? I doubt it…it would require some serious swimming in multiple parts of the world and I feel that if you could speak ‘fish’ you could easily rely on a bunch of Trout to help you rig the results :)

Anyway, I’m digressing…I’ve had the pleasure of playing at two Colleges over the last two days which win the awards for ‘Cutest Colleges’ on this tour.

Keuka College- meet some new Nick Howard fans below…

Cazenovia - where despite some sound malfunctions and a small amount of snow the show was a hit :)

For all you haters out there who are questioning my use of the word ‘cute’ I’m not phased, I am comfortable enough with my feminine side to use the word ‘cute’ to describe something that warrants it…and while we’re at it, Love Actually is one of my favorite movies of all time…wow, it’s all coming out now…whats happening to me.

I’ll leave you with this folks…in light of the Trout reference above, check out some other funny welcome signs that I found out about:
