2/13-16 Ready, Steady….Stop

You will have to forgive me for being awol over the last few days, I have been in a world that most people don’t know exists and hopefully will never see :) You see, you’re wonder perhaps how these college shows come about? Do they just find artists and approach them about playing at their college…well…sometimes… but typically what happens is budding artists (like me) come to these showcases and the students from across the country, come and listen to everyone, then decide who they want to bring to their school.

The best comparison to this showcase I can find is the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger flick ‘The Running Man‘…it is….well…brutal :)

How brutal? Well…check out this pic:

Nick, thats just a fire hydrant….what are you talking about. Oh, is it? Just a fire hydrant huh? Not when you run into it knee first rushing around Boston at 100mph…feel the worst pain you’ve ever felt and subsequently limp around town for the next few days you will know the true identity and motive of this fiend :)

And to think, when I drove here from my upstate NY shows it looked so serene:

I was fooled…but thats okay, I can take it, I’m a man.

So here we are, day 4 of the NACA National Conference where I try my best to get you guys to like me and bring me to your school for a show….I must say we’ve had an awesome time and I’ve been flattered by the feedback we’ve been getting. I can’t wait to put the next group of shows together.

I’m off to Atlanta tomorrow for another one of these bad boys. A City indeed that I have never been to…I hear the coca cola factory is amazing so look out for some pics of that.

Until then friends I’ll leave you with this…a picture that perfectly describes how I feel
