5/4: Time To Party…

There is a stark difference in safety regulations between venues in Europe and those in the the US or the UK…at Frankfurt’s Batschkapp last night we someone how crammed 700 amazing fans into a room that would probably hold 300 in New York…you can imagine the energy that created, it was INSANE….wall to wall with screaming fans, sweaty, hot and down right FUN.

I’ve had nothing but the warmest of welcomes everywhere we’ve played so far and I hope that it continues throughout the rest of the tour. I’m walking off stage each night feeling like I’ve just played the best concert of my life…everyone has been singing along to the covers I’ve thrown into the set and people have been posting videos and pics online all over the place.

Here’s what things look like for me about 30 minutes before playing…

See what I mean? Not the biggest venue but man do they make the most of it…

That’s me bringing the heat…thats right…bringing . the . heat :)

I’m running out of things to say about this tour…please email me some more positive adjectives because I’m running out :) Today is our first day off so I’ve taken the liberty of checking out Frankfurt which is a very cool city indeed…oh and by the way, the merch booth was outside last night, I like to spend a little time after the shows meeting some budding Nick Howard fans and I’d really like to thank the dozens of people who waited in the SNOW for an autograph and to buy a CD last night…and to the second person who’s now asked me to sign their shoes…and the 20th or so person who’s asked me to sign their arm.

Oh and the two of you who wanted to take the pic of you both pretending to bite my cheeks…that goes down as funkiest request of the tour so far :)

I’ll leave you with a video from last night’s crowd…they’re definately a front runner for Loudest Crowd 2010..
